Residential Support Worker
Children’s Residential Care
📍 Milton Keynes
💷 £14.75–£15.25 per hour
⏰ 40 hours per week
We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing and child-centred care to children and young people within a children’s residential home.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Provide emotional, practical and social support.
* Safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
* Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
* Support education, activities, life skills and independence.
* Build positive, trusting relationships.
* Support positive behaviour, including PBS approaches.
* Complete records, reports and handovers.
* Undertake Key Worker responsibilities.
* Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
* Support personal care and medication where trained.
* Work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
About You
* Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification, or willingness to work towards.
* Experience in children’s residential care is desirable.
* Experience supporting emotional, behavioural or complex needs.
* Caring, patient and resilient with strong communication skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Full UK driving licence.
