Senior Residential Support Worker

📍 Milton Keynes
💷 £15.75–£16.25 per hour
⏰ 40 hours per week
👤 Reports to: Registered Manager
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care while helping lead shifts and support the residential care team within a children’s home.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the children’s home.
* Provide high-quality residential childcare.
* Safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
* Support emotional, behavioural and additional needs.
* Promote positive behaviour, including PBS approaches.
* Build positive relationships with children and young people.
* Support education, activities, life skills and independence.
* Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers.
* Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and key working.
* Complete records, reports and handovers.
* Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
* Support the Registered Manager when required.
About You
* Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification or equivalent.
* 12+ months’ children’s residential care experience desirable.
* Experience supporting emotional/behavioural needs and challenging behaviour.
* Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Flexible for evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and on-call duties where required.
