Waking Night Support Worker Children’s Residential Care 📍 Milton Keynes 💷 £16.75 per hour 📅 Full-time | Permanent 🌙 Waking Nights We are recruiting a compassionate and reliable Waking Night Support Worker to provide safe, consistent overnight care for children and young people with emotional, behavioural and complex needs. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will: * Provide safe, nurturing overnight care. * Complete welfare checks and respond to incidents. * Follow individual care plans and safeguarding procedures. * Build positive relationships with children and young people. * Support positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches. * Support emotional, behavioural and complex needs. * Complete records, reports and handovers. * Administer medication where trained and authorised. * Work closely with the wider residential childcare team. * Maintain a safe, clean and homely environment. About You * Caring, reliable and emotionally resilient. * Calm and confident under pressure. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Able to work independently on waking night shifts. * Passionate about supporting children and young people. * Understanding of safeguarding and child protection. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: Experience in children’s residential care, supporting challenging behaviour, trauma-informed care/PBS, and Level 3 Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it. Interested?
