Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns.
* Supporting senior tax staff with tax compliance and advisory tasks.
* Conducting research on tax legislation and staying up to date with changes in tax laws.
* Liaising with HMRC to resolve client queries and ensure compliance.
* Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Supporting the team with VAT returns and tax planning projects.
* Preparing correspondence with clients and assisting with general tax administration tasks.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a tax-focused role (preferably within an accountancy practice).
* ATT qualified or part-qualified (or willingness to work towards qualification with support).
* Good knowledge of personal and corporate tax regulations.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficient in using tax software (e.g., IRIS, Digita, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
