Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
📍 St Albans, Hertfordshire
💷 Up to £40,000 per year
⏰ Full-time
We are recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of an established children’s residential home providing therapeutic, child-centred care.
As a Deputy Manager, you will:
* Support and supervise the residential care team.
* Oversee shifts and staff rotas.
* Support safeguarding and child protection.
* Contribute to care plans, reviews and risk assessments.
* Monitor incidents and maintain accurate records.
* Ensure care documentation and compliance are maintained.
* Support the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home.
* Mentor and develop Residential Support Workers.
* Support administrative and financial procedures.
About You
* Experience in children’s residential care / residential childcare.
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker.
* Level 3 Children & Young People / Residential Childcare qualification.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge.
* Excellent administration, organisation and record-keeping skills.
* Confident completing reports, care documentation and risk assessments.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence essential.
