Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader / Mechanical Team Lead
Days Based Role (8-4 Monday-Friday)

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader or Senior Mechanical Technician looking for a days-based (Monday-Friday 8-4) leadership role where you can take ownership of planned and preventative maintenance and build a high-performing team?
Do you want to join a well-established process plant playing a key part in the UK's renewable energy transition, where safety and operational excellence come first?
On offer is a secure, long-term position where you will lead a mechanical maintenance function across a busy COMAH-style environment, supporting shutdowns/outages when required and driving continuous improvement across systems, spares and contractor performance.
This business is a recognised operator within renewable fuels / waste-to-energy processing, known for investing in safe, reliable operations. Due to continued requirements across the site, they are looking to add an experienced mechanical leader to strengthen maintenance delivery.
In this role you will execute planned, corrective and preventative schedules, keep the CMMS updated with accurate work history, oversee stores and critical spares processes, and manage contractors to ensure work is completed safely, within scope and to quality standards.
This role would suit a trade-trained Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys leading from the front, developing engineers, and taking responsibility for delivering maintenance performance in a process environment.
The Role:
Monday-Friday days based role (8-4)
Lead a team delivering planned, preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance
Manage maintenance activity through the CMMS, ensuring tasks are closed with accurate history
Oversee stores / spares processes and drive continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities
Manage contractors and support shutdowns/outages and call-out rota as required
The Person:
Trade-based apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
Mechanical maintenance experience in oil & gas, chemical or process industries (essential)
Experience leading a team and/or supervising contractors
