GCSE Maths Tutor - St Helens
Location: St Helens
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Are you a confident Maths Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work? Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a GCSE Maths Tutor to support a learner in St Helens.
The successful tutor will be able to make Maths accessible and engaging while identifying gaps in knowledge and helping the learner work towards their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored GCSE Maths tuition
Identify and address gaps in learning
Plan engaging lessons and activities
Adapt teaching methods to suit the learner
Build confidence and encourage participation
Track progress and provide appropriate feedback
Requirements
Strong knowledge of GCSE Maths
Previous teaching or tutoring experience
Experience delivering 1:1 support desirable
Excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Right to Work in the UK
