HR Officer - Employee Relations
South West London / Surrey Border
£22 per hour | 36 hours per week
Initial 3-month temporary assignment | Immediate start
We are recruiting an experienced HR Officer to join a large, multi-site education organisation on an initial 3-month temporary assignment.
This is a hands-on HR role with a strong focus on Employee Relations and case management. Working closely with Managers across the organisation, you will provide practical HR advice and support across a range of live employee relations matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing and supporting a varied caseload of Employee Relations matters
* Advising Managers on performance and capability issues
* Supporting absence management cases
* Managing disciplinary and grievance processes
* Providing clear and practical advice in line with HR policies and employment legislation
* Supporting Managers to ensure cases are progressed appropriately and within agreed timescales
* Maintaining accurate case records and HR documentation
* Supporting the wider HR team as required
About you:
You will be an experienced HR professional who is confident managing Employee Relations cases and advising Managers at all levels.
You will ideally have:
* CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
* Strong hands-on Employee Relations and case management experience
* Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Experience supporting performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* The ability to manage multiple live cases and competing priorities
* Previous experience within education, the public sector or a large multi-site organisation would be advantageous
