Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias £64,000 Per Annum 3x Shift (Earlies/Lates/Nights) Deeside gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Deeside Performance Objectives Work within Company procedures and S.O.P.'s with Health & Safety as a priority Work to regulations and health & safety legislation Carry out, and continually develop planned maintenance programmes on all machinery to a high quality standard Systematic Root Cause Analysis and Elimination techniques Use effective and timely fault finding skills on all site machinery to ensure optimum machine performance and productivity Maintain all relevant paperwork and auditable systems in line with internal and external standards Be proactively involved in continuous improvement of personal skills, the engineering department and plant machinery Actively involved in projects as and when requested Pro-active ideas in relation to reduction of downtimePerson Specification Successful completion of HNC (Higher qualifications considered favourably) Apprentice Trained NVQ 3 / Gity & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Pneumatic and Hydraulics training Experience in World Class Manufacturing standards Experience in 5S Experience of working in high speed automated production environment Experienced in using computers, including Microsoft ExcelSuccessful candidates for this role will: Be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving and decision making Have the ability to work with little supervision using own initiative within parameters of the role Be a confident team player Show evidence of written and oral communication skills with reference to dealing with people at all levels of the business and development of work procedures Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to sustain effective relationships on behalf of the department with internal customers Self motivated Ability to develop and implement new ideas within specific resource parameters Be able to demonstrate accurate, reliable and safe systems of working Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement techniques such as PPM/TPM system based review of downtime data weekly /monthly/quarterly reportingApply Please send your CV via the Apply now option on the website If you have any questions or are interested in any other opportunities we may have, please do not hesitate to get in touch This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of gap technical who are operating as an employment agency. gap technical are committed to the selection, recruitment and development of the best people, basing judgements solely on suitability for the job.
