Electronics Engineer Portchester, Hampshire Up to £40,000 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 3:00pm Friday Design. Develop. Innovate. Are you an Electronics Engineer looking for a role where you can make a real impact across product development, automation, manufacturing and customer support? We're looking for a proactive and technically capable Electronics Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Portchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on advanced electronic systems, automated test equipment (ATE) and sensor technologies while contributing to exciting new product development projects. You'll be involved in everything from circuit and PCB design through to commissioning, fault-finding, customer support and continuous improvement, giving you genuine variety and technical challenge every day. The Role As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting electronic hardware solutions while ensuring the reliability and performance of production test systems and manufacturing equipment. Key responsibilities include: Designing, developing and commissioning electronic hardware for automated test equipment and automation projects Supporting and maintaining manufacturing equipment and production test systems Troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating electronic systems Designing analogue and digital electronic circuits and PCB layouts Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities alongside R&D, Quality and Production teams Providing technical support to customers integrating sensor technology into their products Managing suppliers and sourcing electronic components and assemblies Producing technical documentation including schematics, specifications and test procedures Driving improvements in quality, reliability, efficiency and test capabilityAbout You To be successful in this role, you will have: HNC, HND or Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline Around 5 years' experience in an electronics engineering environment Strong analogue and digital circuit design and fault-finding skills PCB design experience using KiCad or similar software Knowledge of GitHub, GitLab or equivalent version control systems Experience with data acquisition systems and test equipment Excellent problem-solving and communication skills The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a teamDesirable Experience LabVIEW SQL databases Industrial automation Robot programming Machine vision systems New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing environmentsWhat's on Offer?
