Mechanical Estimator
£55,000-£65,000 + Package | Swindon, Wiltshire
A well-established and rapidly expanding M&E / Building Services contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team, working across commercial projects throughout Wiltshire.
Projects range from £50k-£3m, covering mechanical building services, planned and reactive maintenance and project works.
The Role
Prepare accurate and competitive mechanical estimates and tenders
Review drawings, specifications and BOQs and carry out take-offs
Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors
Prepare detailed cost proposals and tender submissions
Maintain accurate tender information and quotation status
Identify commercial or technical issues within tender documentation
Use Excel and estimating/commercial software to manage estimatesThe Successful Candidate
Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator / M&E Estimator
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services
Experience pricing projects and producing detailed cost proposals
Confident reading mechanical drawings, specifications and BOQs
Experience carrying out material and labour take-offs
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Background in M&E, Building Services, Mechanical Contracting or Hard FM
Based within a commutable distance of SwindonThe Package
£55,000-£65,000 basic salary, dependent on experience
