Job Description
Plant Manager
Location: Morocco | Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off | Contract: 15 months
We are recruiting a Plant Manager to take overall responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a major process plant in Morocco, leading the transition from commissioning and start-up into sustainable production. Working a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation on a 15-month contract, you will be the central point of leadership across operations, maintenance, engineering, HSE, contractors and the wider project team.
The Role
* Hold overall responsibility for safe, reliable and efficient plant operation.
* Set the HSE and process safety standard and build a strong safety culture across the workforce.
* Lead the operational transition from commissioning through first start-up and ramp-up to normal production.
* Build and lead a high-performing plant organisation, developing local talent and succession plans.
* Manage EPC contractors, vendors and specialist interfaces.
* Ensure operational readiness across people, procedures, spares, tools, systems and competency.
* Own the operating budget and control expenditure, providing accurate forecasts and recovery plans.
* Establish an Operational Excellence programme and drive root-cause improvement rather than short-term fixes.
What You'll Bring
* Senior plant or operations management experience in oil and gas, gas processing or petrochemicals.
* Proven commissioning, start-up and ramp-up leadership.
* Strong HSE and process safety leadership.
* Budget control and contractor management experience.
* A track record of building and developing operating teams, ideally in a greenfield or new-plant environment
