Job Description
The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, SEMH and complex SEND requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference to young people who may require additional support to engage with education. The Role: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis Providing emotional, behavioural and academic support Managing challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independenceThe Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working within a school, PRU or alternative provision setting Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH Confident managing challenging behaviour Calm, patient and resilient approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potentialPosition: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Huyton Type: Full-time Start: ASAP Pay: Dependent on experience
