Freelance Site Engineer – Bulk Earthworks
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Duration: 6 Months
Employment Type: Freelance
Rate: £350–£400 per day
We are currently looking for an experienced Earthworks Engineer / Site Engineer to join a major earthworks project in Leicester for approximately 6 months.
The successful engineer will be working with an established civil engineering and earthworks contractor, supporting the delivery of a large-scale bulk earthworks package.
Responsibilities:
*
Setting out for bulk earthworks and associated civil engineering works
*
Cut & fill operations and level control
*
Producing and maintaining accurate site records
*
QA documentation and as-built surveys
*
Working closely with site management and machine operators
*
Monitoring earthworks against drawings and specifications
*
Carrying out volume and level checks
*
Ensuring works are delivered safely and accurately
Requirements:
*
Strong previous experience on bulk earthworks projects
*
Experienced using Total Station and GPS
*
Good understanding of earthworks, levels and cut & fill
*
Competent with AutoCAD
*
CSCS
*
Own laptop preferred
*
Ability to work independently and manage engineering requirements on site
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Earthworks Engineer looking for a 6-month freelance contract in Leicester, paying £350–£400 per day.
