Industrial Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £38,400 to £72,000 DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent, Field Based
A fantastic opportunity for a qualified Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established engineering business with a strong presence across the UK.
The role is focused on the service and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems across a range of major customer sites. While industrial refrigeration experience would be ideal, engineers coming from a strong commercial refrigeration background with a good understanding of refrigeration fundamentals will also be considered.
You'll be working alongside experienced engineers on large-scale refrigeration plant, with exposure to sectors including food manufacturing, temperature-controlled storage, pharmaceutical, process and other industrial environments.
The Role
Service and maintain industrial refrigeration systems and associated equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs and maintenance
Complete work safely and to a high engineering standard
Build positive working relationships with customers on site
Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, safety and efficiency
Complete service and maintenance documentation accurately
Work closely with the wider engineering team and share technical knowledge
Continue developing your technical knowledge across refrigeration systems, components and technologies
What We're Looking For
Qualified Refrigeration Engineer with relevant field experience
Strong understanding of refrigeration principles and systems
Industrial refrigeration experience preferred, but strong commercial refrigeration engineers will be considered
Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
Comfortable working on customer sites
Full UK driving licence
Good approach to health and safety and compliance
