HAB Law is expanding its highly regarded Court of Protection Health & Welfare team due to continued growth and increasing demand across the country. We are now seeking a number of talented and committed Court of Protection Fee Earners to join our specialist team. We also have a strong requirement for Supervising Solicitors, especially those with experience supervising both qualified and non-qualified staff, to support the continued growth and development of our team. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake meaningful, complex and rewarding legal work within a supportive, forward-thinking firm that values expertise, compassion and career development. The role: You will join a highly regarded Court of Protection team and manage your own varied caseload of Health & Welfare matters, including complex cases involving vulnerable individuals. Key responsibilities include: * Managing a Court of Protection (Health & Welfare) caseload * Applications under Sections 16 and 21A of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 * Acting in Legal Aid funded matters, including use of CCMS * Liaising with the Official Solicitor and other professionals * Drafting applications, witness statements, and court documentation * Representing clients and providing clear legal advice * Supporting and mentoring junior team members * Contributing to the continued growth of the department * Mental Health Panel Members, or are actively working towards accreditation would be advantageous We are also seeking candidates based in, or able to cover, the North East/Newcastle, North West, South West, or London regions Why join HAB Law? * Award-winning and rapidly growing specialist law firm * Meaningful, high-quality Court of Protection work * Supportive and ambitious team culture * Opportunities for progression and supervision * Hybrid working * Full-time, permanent roles * Competitive salary above market rate * Bonus scheme If you are passionate about Health & Welfare work and want to be part of a growing specialist team making a real difference, we would be delighted to hear from you
