Contracts Manager – Roofing Contractor Manchester £60,000 + Car Allowance Our client is a well-established, family-run roofing and cladding contractor, delivering commercial flat and pitched roofing projects across the region. Known for the quality of their work and the way they look after their people, they're now looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a genuinely close-knit, low-turnover team. About the Role You'll manage a portfolio of commercial flat and pitched roofing contracts from inception to handover, with genuine autonomy. This is a business working with tier one main contractors, so the role demands more than keeping materials in front of the site team: strong programme management, design coordination, and proactive communication with clients via modern digital portals and reporting systems. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple roofing contracts simultaneously, from inception to handover Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Track contract progress, budgets, and programme, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders Coordinate design input and feasibility at pre-start stage Ensure all work meets health and safety regulations, British Standards, and company quality procedures Complete weekly progress reports and project completion reports Support compilation of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals Schedule labour, plant, and subcontract resources effectively Liaise promptly and professionally with clients on programme updates, variations, and aftercareAbout You Proven experience managing flat or pitched roofing projects Comfortable working with modern digital portals, programmes, and reporting systems, this business works with demanding tier one clients who expect a high level of engagement An operational mindset, someone who thinks beyond the immediate task in front of them Ideally from a roofing background Organised, process-driven, and a confident communicator SMSTS and CSCS essential Full UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer £60,000 - some flexibility for the right person Car allowance or Vehicle Bupa healthcare, including dental cover 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Standard company pension Phone, laptop, and fuel card provided A genuinely low-turnover, family-oriented culture with real autonomy in how you manage your contractsFor a confidential conversation about this role, apply below and we will be in touch
