Rate: £400-£450 per day CIS Location: Mannington / Bournemouth Working Pattern: Site based Length of Contract: Ongoing Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a background in civil engineering or major infrastructure projects looking for your next contract opportunity within the Energy sector? We are looking for a Site Engineer to support the delivery of energy infrastructure works in the Mannington area. You will provide day-to-day engineering support on site, working closely with the construction and project management teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements. The role will involve supporting civil engineering activities across the project, including setting out, quality assurance, technical coordination and resolving engineering issues as works progress. Previous substation experience is not essential, making this a good opportunity for an Engineer from a wider civils or infrastructure background looking to gain further experience within the Transmission & Distribution sector. Job Role Providing day-to-day engineering support across the project Setting out and ensuring works are delivered accurately to drawings and specifications Supporting the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure works Carrying out quality checks and maintaining engineering records Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Working closely with Site Managers, construction teams and subcontractors Identifying and resolving technical issues on site Ensuring works comply with project health, safety and quality requirements Requirements Previous experience as a Site Engineer / Civil Engineer Engineering degree or relevant equivalent qualification Strong civil engineering and construction knowledge Experience working on infrastructure or major construction projects Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Good understanding of site health & safety Strong communication and coordination skills CAT 3 authorisation would be advantageous but is not essential Previous substation / T&D experience would be advantageous but is not essential Full UK Driving Licence This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer from the wider civils or infrastructure sector to move into T&D and gain experience delivering major energy infrastructure works.
