Plant Technician (Mobile Role) – Southern England
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:30
Occasional Saturdays – paid at 1.5x
Full time, permanent
Earning Potential – Salary:
£47,840 basic
OTE: £60,000 (overtime available at 1.5x)
Fully equipped van provided
Overview
We're looking for a Plant Technician to join an award-winning team covering Southern England. You'll be out on the road, keeping plant machinery running, fixing breakdowns, and making sure customers stay operational. If you're qualified, experienced, and ready for a mobile role with serious earning potential, this is the one.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out major and minor repairs on a range of plant machinery
Perform PDI works and attachment set up on new equipment
Complete regular inspections and preventive maintenance to keep machines reliable
Diagnose faults and get kit back up and running fast
Keep your van stocked, tidy, and ready for action
Work with the sales and workshop teams to keep customers happy
Complete paperwork and warranty claims without the faff
What You'll Need
Level 3 qualified (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI) in Plant Machinery
Proven experience as a Plant Technician
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility on location and hours
You'll be a great fit if you're self-motivated and want to work independently with proper backup and support.
