INJECTION MOULDING SETTER Salary: £36,000 Location: Littleborough Shift: Earlies & Lates – Monday to Friday We are currently recruiting for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company based in Littleborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an Injection Moulding Setter who has strong experience within a plastics manufacturing environment and is confident carrying out tool changes, setting and optimising injection moulding machinery, monitoring production performance and maintaining excellent quality standards. The successful Injection Moulding Setter will play an important role within the production team, taking responsibility for machinery, tooling, process optimisation, quality and production performance throughout the shift. Skills required for the Injection Moulding Setter: Previous experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter / Process Technician within a plastics manufacturing environment Experience carrying out tool changes, machine setting and process optimisation Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and production machinery Ability to review and modify processes to maximise production rates while maintaining quality standards Experience identifying and resolving production, tooling and machine issues Good understanding of quality standards, scrap reduction and continuous improvement Strong Health & Safety awareness within a manufacturing environment Ability to complete production and shift documentation accurately Confident communicating with Production, Engineering, Quality and other relevant departments The Injection Moulding Setter will benefit from: £36,000 salary Monday to Friday working week Earlies and lates rotating shift pattern Joining a well-established manufacturing business Training and development opportunities Technically varied and interesting role Opportunity to contribute towards continuous improvement projects Working within a skilled manufacturing and engineering environment Responsibilities of the Injection Moulding Setter: The Injection Moulding Setter will be responsible for completing safe and efficient tool changes, setting and optimising injection moulding processes and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed. You will monitor production rates, scrap levels and product quality throughout the shift, taking remedial action where required to minimise waste and maintain production standards. The Setter will also work closely with Engineering during servicing and breakdowns, oversee appropriate housekeeping and Health & Safety standards, support production operators and communicate any production, tooling or quality issues through detailed shift reports.
