* Manage valuations, variations, change control, compensation events and final accounts.
* Lead cost control, forecasting, CVRs and cashflow management.
* Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks and opportunities.
* Procure and manage subcontractor and supply chain packages.
* Assess subcontractor applications, variations and final accounts.
* Provide contractual and commercial advice to Project Managers and delivery teams.
* Support extensions of time, loss & expense, compensation events and dispute resolution where required.
* Ensure strong commercial governance, record keeping and contractual compliance.
* Provide clear and accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
* Mentor and support Project Managers, Engineers and junior commercial staff.
* Contribute to improving commercial systems, processes and reporting across the business.
What We're Looking For
* Significant experience in Quantity Surveying or a senior commercial role.
* Background in construction, M&E, engineering or multidisciplinary projects.
* Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
* Proven experience managing valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
* Strong subcontract procurement and supply chain management experience.
* Confident with forecasting, CVRs, cost control and cashflow.
* Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
* MRICS / MCIOB or working towards professional accreditation is desirable.
* Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Why Consider the Role?
This is more than a traditional QS position. You’ll be joining a close-knit team where your commercial expertise will genuinely influence how projects are delivered.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
* Take ownership of high-value and commercially complex projects.
* Work closely with senior management and operational teams.
* Influence commercial strategy and processes.
* Mentor and develop the wider project team.
* Play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
* Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
