Class 2 Driver (Temp to Perm) Northampton £Competitive + Overtime Available Our client, a well-established and growing drinks distribution business, is looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver on a Temp to Perm basis to support their busy delivery operation in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver seeking stable, long-term employment with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. The Role As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of drinks products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other licensed trade customers across the region. This is a physically demanding role involving multi-drop deliveries, manual handling, and regular customer interaction. Key Responsibilities * Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects. * Completing multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently. * Delivering products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality customers. * Loading and unloading stock using appropriate handling equipment. * Ensuring deliveries are accurate and completed on time. * Collecting kegs, casks, empties, and other returnable items. * Maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism. * Completing delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery records. * Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and Tachograph legislation. * Supporting depot and warehouse operations when required. What We're Looking For Essential Requirements * Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence. * Valid Driver CPC Qualification. * Digital Tachograph Card. * Previous Class 2 driving experience. * Good understanding of Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations. * Excellent customer service skills. * Strong work ethic and a reliable approach. * Ability to undertake manual handling and physical delivery work. Desirable * Multi-drop delivery experience. * Drinks distribution experience. * Experience delivering to pubs, bars, restaurants, or hospitality venues. * Knowledge of keg and cellar deliveries.
