Family Solicitor or Legal Executive (Private Legal Aid)

Qualified Family Lawyer (Private Legal Aid) Full time or part- time hours considered Location: Banbury Salary up to £45,000 per annum About the firm: This is a very well-established regional law practice, who have steadily grown their office network, giving them a great local presence and a massively increased volume of business. What’s involved: The role will involve: Managing a caseload of private law legal aid matters including children matters, financial issues following divorce or separation, and domestic violence cases Advocacy and attendance at court  Liaising with clients and third parties, keeping everyone updated Monitoring your own caseload including progression, compliance and billing Ensuring efficient and accurate applications for and maintenance of Legal Aid CertificatesWho we’re looking for: Suitable candidates will have: One year’s+ PQE within a similar role Experience of running a Private Law Legal Aid caseload including, children, finance matters and domestic violence, including injunctions A friendly, flexible and personable approach in the role Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision Experience of requirements of Lexcel and Legal Aid Agency A full UK driving licence What’s on offer: This is a permanent job offered on either a full-time or part-time basis Benefits include: 23 days’ holiday (rising to 27) plus UK bank holidays 2 extra days’ paid leave over Christmas Your birthday off (from year two) Holiday buy/sell scheme (up to 5 days) One to two days’ homeworking per week, following probationary period/settling in period Company sick pay and pension Discounted legal fees Simply Health plan and Virtual GP access 3x salary life assurance Full induction and ongoing training Supportive, collaborative team culture Community involvement and charity events Free parking Excellent career prospectsNote: Salary stated is given as a guideline in line with market rate and will be wholly commensurate with experience and qualifications.
