This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Sewing Machinist who enjoys hands-on work, takes real pride in the finished product and is looking for convenient daytime hours with no weekend working. ⏰ Hours Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm 30 hours per week ✅ Must Haves Previous sewing machine experience Experience using industrial sewing machines Good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to produce work to a consistently high standard Reliable and comfortable working within a production environment Key Responsibilities As a Sewing Machinist, you’ll be involved in producing covers for furniture, ensuring each item is completed accurately and to the required quality standards. Your duties will include: 🧵 Operating industrial sewing machines 🧵 Sewing and assembling furniture covers 🧵 Working accurately with different materials and components 🧵 Following job requirements and production instructions 🧵 Checking completed work for quality and finish 🧵 Identifying and reporting any quality issues 🧵 Keeping your workstation clean, tidy and organised 🧵 Working alongside the wider production team to keep orders moving Essential Qualifications / Skills Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist or using industrial sewing machines is required. Experience sewing furniture covers, upholstery products or similar manufactured textile products would be particularly relevant. You’ll need good attention to detail, a practical approach and pride in producing a quality finished product.
