Job Description
Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be working with an international organisation that produces high-quality products within a safe, clean and flexible working environment.
We are supporting their search for an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team and play a key role in the rebuild, repair and maintenance of a range of mechanical components including the rebuild and repair of transmissions, gearboxes and axles.
Key Duties:
Dismantle, inspect and reassemble transmissions, axles and final drive assemblies in accordance with pre-determined work instructions and specifications.
Use inspection measuring and test equipment to determine component conformity and ensure product quality.
Work on own initiative and as part of a team to solve work related technical problems.
Use IT equipment to extract and record technical and logistical information including the creation of inspection reports and identification of required parts.
Accountable for the correct and safe usage of tooling and equipment.
Help promote the behaviors identified within the Companies culture.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the operations department.
To undertake any other ad hoc duties within the operations function to support the effective running of the department.Key Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering/vehicle maintenance or similar would be preferred.
Experience of working within the mechanical engineering industry.
Proven problem solver.
IT literate.The Package:
£27,000 - £34,000 per annum depending on experience.
39 per week, 07.00am - 15.30am Monday to Thursday, 07.00am - 14.30pm Friday. (Flexibility with hours)
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, plus Christmas shutdown.
