Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading construction contractor on a major project in Limerick.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to take on a key leadership role, overseeing site engineering activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate all engineering activities on site.
* Manage setting out, dimensional control, and survey requirements.
* Provide leadership and support to Site Engineers and Junior Engineers.
* Ensure as-built surveys and engineering records are completed accurately.
* Maintain high standards of quality assurance and compliance.
* Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
* Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive close-out actions.
* Review and prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
* Coordinate Temporary Works activities and support lifting operations.
* Manage technical queries and the RFI process.
* Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure successful project delivery.
About You
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer position on large-scale construction projects.
* Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction best practices.
* Experience managing setting out and survey activities.
* Knowledge of Temporary Works and site-based health & safety requirements.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve technical issues effectively.
