Food Technology Teacher
Location: Oldham
Salary: £160-£200 per day
Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:15am-3:00pm
Start: ASAP
Duration: Until Christmas, with a view to extend from January for the right candidate
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Oldham on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Food Technology specialist looking for a new role, with the potential for the position to continue beyond Christmas for the right teacher.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging, practical and challenging lessons
Marking and assessing students' work
Supporting students to achieve their full potential
Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school
We are looking for someone who:
Holds QTS, or has strong experience teaching Food Technology
Has experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and/or KS4
Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed
Can confidently plan, teach and mark
Has excellent classroom management skills
Is keen to become part of the wider school community
Has 2 professional references available
Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
What we offer:
💷 £160-£200 per day, depending on experience
📅 Full-time, Monday-Friday
⏰ 8:15am-3:00pm
📚 Role until Christmas with a view to extend from January
