Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Mobile Vehicle Technician in Northampton, Northamptonshire. This is a full-time role offering a unique opportunity for experienced Mobile Vehicle Technicians to work autonomously within a well-established automotive business.

Up to £37,570 annual salary plus Time Saved Bonus Plan
Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with no weekend work

Support for technician progression through Ford’s training pathwayDuties of a Mobile Vehicle Technician:
Conduct vehicle servicing and routine maintenance on commercial vehicles, predominantly Ford Transits
Perform PDI checks, brake replacements, and timing belt replacements, including off-site on Ford Transits
Carry out diagnostic work, warranty repairs, and recalls, adhering to manufacturer standards
Identify additional work during health checks and complete repairs in line with OEM specifications
Maintain accurate documentation and service records
Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally while working independently across Northampton and surrounding areas
Occasionally stay away overnight, with prior arrangement and consideration of personal circumstancesRequirements of a Mobile Vehicle Technician:
Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician
Previous main dealer experience, particularly with Ford, is highly advantageous
Strong diagnostic skills and fault-finding ability
Confident in performing timing belt replacements on Ford Transits off-site
Experience working on commercial vehicles, especially Ford Transits
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
