Area Sales Manager – Flooring & Interior Products Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Flooring & Interior Products (12 month Contract) Industry Sector: Carpet, Carpet Tile, Flooring, Interiors, A&D, Architects and Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, Fit-Out Contractors, Education, Building Surveyors, Letting Agents, Estate Management and Local Authorities Area to be covered: North and West of London: AL, EN, HA, HP, LU, MK, N, NN, NW, OX, SG, WD Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Neg. + up to £8,000 Commission plus Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products will involve: * This role is for temporary maternity cover – 12 month contract * Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings / carpet tiles * Promoting multi-loop and low level loop carpet tiles as well as some ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll) * This is a transactional field sales role, with the majority of your time selling into flooring contractors (65%) * Remainder of time selling into architects and interior designers (A&D), but also: fit-out contractors, property developers, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management, local authorities and main contractors * Inheriting an area with a turnover of approx. £1m * New business position, although there will be a healthy project bank to inherit * Targeting commercial buildings such as office blocks as well as the education sector: schools, universities & colleges and a small amount of healthcare * Utilising ABI leads and in-house CRM database * Project sizes from 500m2, typically £10,000 upwards project value The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products with: * Must have a proven field sales track record, ideally selling into flooring contractors * Flooring/ carpet industry backgrounds preferred * Open to other interior products such as: wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning or furniture * Contacts within fit-out contractors, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management and local authorities are not essential * Specification sales experience with architects and interior designers (A&D) may be useful but not essential * Tactile sales background rather that technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related * Some knowledge of how sustainability is driving both the construction and interior market would be beneficial. * Energy, passion and Enthusiasm * Strong commercial and presentation skills Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: Carpet, Carpet Tile, Flooring, Interiors, A&D, Architects and Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, Fit-Out Contractors, Education, Building Surveyors, Letting Agents, Estate Management and Local Authorities
