Temporary Shunter Driver
Location: Mirfield
Contract: Temporary – 1 week
Start Date: Monday
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Rate of Pay: £16.50 per hour
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Shunter Driver to join our team in Mirfield on a temporary basis for one week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely moving and positioning vehicles and trailers around the site, ensuring all movements are carried out efficiently and in accordance with site safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Safely shunt and manoeuvre vehicles and trailers around the site.
*
Position vehicles correctly for loading, unloading and dispatch.
*
Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
*
Follow all site health and safety procedures.
*
Maintain a professional and reliable approach throughout the assignment.
*
Assist with general yard duties as required.
Essential Requirements
*
Valid C1 driving licence – must be in date.
*
Valid Driver CPC qualification/card.
*
Previous shunting or yard driving experience.
*
Good understanding of vehicle and site safety procedures.
*
Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
*
Available to work the full one-week assignment.
