Job Description
A specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to work on a major brownfield industrial redevelopment project in Port Talbot. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term project with a two-year programme, overseeing earthworks and associated environmental works as part of a significant redevelopment scheme. The Role As Civil Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project programme. Key duties will include: * Managing and supervising the site team * Coordinating subcontractors and site activities * Managing site health and safety * Coordinating all earthworks and associated environmental works * Managing site administration and daily records * Liaising with the project management team and subcontractors * Monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered to programme * Ensuring works are completed to the required quality and specification * Identifying and resolving any issues arising on site The Candidate The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a civil engineering or earthworks environment, with a proven track record of supervising site teams and subcontractors. You should have: * Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or similar * SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid * Strong civil engineering, earthworks or groundworks experience * Experience managing subcontractors and site teams * Good understanding of health and safety requirements * Strong organisational and communication skills * The ability to coordinate multiple activities and maintain programme progress This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position on a major Port Talbot redevelopment project, with a two-year programme and the opportunity to work for a specialist contractor on a significant industrial regeneration scheme
