Senior Fire Engineer £58,000 - £65,000 | Fully Remote (within 2hrs of Central London) | Building Services Consultancy This business is building out an active fire engineering function from the ground up, and they want someone who genuinely enjoys writing strategy rather than checking someone else's. You'll be joining a fast-growing, fully remote sustainability and Engineering consultancy that's gone from a handful of people to a team of 15+ in under two years, working across data centres, residential, commercial, retail, healthcare and education projects. Fire sits alongside a broader in-house offer covering sustainability, BREEAM, BIM and structural design, so you won't be operating in a silo. The Role Write fire strategies for both retrospective projects and new developments Survey existing structures and carry out fire risk assessments Apply relevant fire standards and approved documents across a genuinely varied project mix Take an evidence-based, software-modelled approach to strategy rather than relying purely on standards-based justification Work alongside two existing fire engineers, plus wider input from senior leadership Occasional site visits (roughly monthly), with the rest of the role fully remote About You Strong background in active fire engineering, not just passive/sign-off work Comfortable and confident using fire modelling software to justify strategy decisions Experienced surveying existing buildings and producing FRAs Able to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative fire team The Business A UK-based consultancy bringing together data analytics, sustainability and engineering to improve how buildings perform.
