Toolroom Machinist (Time Served)
Up to £18.00 per hour | 4-Day Working Week | Overtime Available
An established engineering business is looking for an experienced Toolroom Machinist to join its skilled workshop team.
This is a great opportunity for a machinist with strong conventional machining experience who enjoys producing accurate, high-quality components and working on toolroom, one-off and small-batch projects.
The Role
You will manufacture precision components from engineering drawings, working to tight tolerances and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the machining process.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Operating manual mills, lathes and boring machines
* Manufacturing one-off and small-batch precision components
* Working from engineering drawings
* Inspecting and measuring completed components
* Maintaining accuracy and quality standards
* Working both independently and alongside an experienced engineering team
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 5:30pm
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: OFF
Overtime is also available.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Toolroom Machinist with:
* Strong conventional/manual milling and turning experience
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* A reliable, self-motivated approach to work
Experience with boring operations is advantageous.
