SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: Worthing, West Sussex Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time / Long-term Are you passionate about helping children feel confident, included and supported in the classroom? We are working with a welcoming primary school in Worthing who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children and wants to make a genuine difference to their day-to-day experience at school. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to children with a range of additional needs, helping them to feel settled, engaged and able to access their learning. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required Supporting children with their learning and development Helping pupils with additional needs to engage positively in the classroom Encouraging independence, confidence and communication Supporting children with their social and emotional development Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment We're Looking For The school is looking for someone who is: Patient, caring and approachable Passionate about supporting children with additional needs Confident working as part of a team Able to build positive relationships with pupils Consistent and encouraging in their approach Reliable, proactive and keen to make a difference Previous experience working with SEN is desirable, but not essential. Experience in a primary school, nursery, childcare, support work or similar settings would also be welcomed. Why Work With Us?
