Disrepair Surveyor
Location: East Midlands (3 days in the office, 2 WFH)
Rate: Competitive DOE
Contract: Interim / Ongoing
Are you an experienced Disrepair Surveyor looking for your next opportunity within the public sector?
I am working with a Midlands-based Local Authority seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Disrepair Surveyor to join their Property Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing housing disrepair cases and improving housing standards for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
-Managing housing disrepair claims from inception through to resolution.
-Carrying out property inspections and preparing detailed schedules of work.
-Producing technical reports for legal proceedings and court cases.
-Working closely with legal teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
-Monitoring remedial works to ensure compliance and quality standards.
-Ensuring properties meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
-Previous experience handling housing disrepair cases.
-Strong knowledge of housing legislation and repairs obligations.
-Experience working within Local Authority or Social Housing environments.
-Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
-Relevant surveying qualification desirable.
