Production Manager Location: Tunbridge, Kent Salary: £45,000 per annum, pro rata Contract: Nine-month temporary contract Hours: Full-time We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join one of Kent’s leading fencing manufacturers on a nine-month temporary contract. Based at the company’s manufacturing site in Tunbridge, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a team of approximately 11 employees, including Factory Operatives, Fabricators and Saw Operators. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can drive production output, maintain high standards and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and within the required timescales. Key responsibilities * Managing, motivating and supporting a production team of approximately 11 employees. * Driving productivity and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved. * Planning and coordinating daily workloads across the factory. * Ensuring orders are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. * Monitoring team performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. * Ensuring employees have the materials, equipment and information required to perform effectively. * Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the production process. * Addressing production delays, staffing challenges and operational issues. * Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times. * Working closely with senior management and other departments to meet customer requirements. About you The successful candidate will have: * Previous experience managing a production or manufacturing team. * A proven ability to drive output and achieve demanding production targets. * Strong leadership and people-management skills. * Excellent organisational and workload-planning abilities. * The confidence to manage performance and maintain accountability. * A practical, hands-on approach to resolving problems. * A strong understanding of health and safety within a factory environment. * Experience within fencing, steel fabrication, engineering or a related manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
