Transport Coordinator Redditch Up to £36,000 40 hours per week I am recruiting for a proactive Transport Coordinator to join our clients busy transport operation in Redditch. Working closely with the Transport Managers, you'll help keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly by coordinating work, planning & supporting drivers, managing customer requirements and making sure jobs and paperwork are processed accurately and on time. What's on offer? Salary up to £36,000 40 hours per week 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) Opportunity to develop your transport and operational knowledge A varied role working closely with an experienced Transport Management teamWhat you'll be doing Processing and updating jobs accurately on the transport management system Supporting the Transport Managers with the daily planning and allocation of work Helping to identify the most efficient routes, loads and vehicle allocations while meeting customer requirements Liaising with drivers, customers, suppliers and colleagues to keep operations running smoothly Providing support and assistance to drivers, including dealing with out-of-hours queries when required Responding to customer queries and resolving operational issues promptly Supporting the management of drivers and yard staff Helping to maintain strong relationships with existing customers Assisting with the development of new customer opportunities Monitoring stock held within the warehouse and supporting accurate stock control Ensuring PODs, CMRs, customer orders and associated paperwork are obtained and processed correctly Supporting the administration required for accurate and timely invoicingAbout you We're looking for someone who has: Previous transport planning experience / coordination is essential Good understanding of WTD Experience with Mandata or another transport management system Good communication skills and confidence speaking with drivers, customers and suppliers The ability to stay calm and organised when managing competing priorities A proactive approach to problem solving, with the confidence to chase information and get things moving Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Good written and spoken English GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above A willingness to learn and undertake further trainingWR Logistics are a leading recruitment partner for the logistics and supply chain industry, recruiting across the UK, Europe, and the USA for permanent opportunities.
