Location: South Harrow Salary: £95 - £115 per day Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: ASAP / September 2026 Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs? Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a caring, patient and proactive SEN TA to join the specialist ARP within a welcoming primary school in South Harrow. The ARP supports a small group of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and additional communication and learning needs. The children spend part of their day within the specialist provision before joining their mainstream classes, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys both specialist SEN support and inclusive mainstream education. The Role As an SEN TA, you will: Support pupils with MLD and additional learning needs Provide 1:1 and small-group support Help pupils develop their communication, literacy and numeracy skills Support children with sensory and communication needs Use visual timetables, Now & Next boards and other visual resources Help deliver a differentiated and practical curriculum Support pupils as they transition between the ARP and mainstream classrooms Encourage independence, confidence and social development Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN Experience supporting pupils with MLD, ASD, communication or learning difficulties A calm, patient and nurturing approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs A genuine passion for helping children make progressExperience working within an ARP, specialist school, resource base or SEN department would be highly desirable.
