Support Worker – Permanent Days or 12-Month Maternity Cover Location: Poole, Dorset, BH14 Pay: £12.71 per hour Hours: Full-time Positions available: Two Start date: As soon as possible Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting two full-time Support Workers for a specialist care service in Poole. The service supports adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental-health needs. We are looking for compassionate and dependable people who can provide person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity, choice and quality of life. Available opportunities Permanent Day Support Worker * One full-time permanent position * Predominantly day shifts * Providing consistent, long-term support as part of the permanent staff team Maternity-Cover Support Worker * One full-time temporary position * Expected to last for approximately 12 months * Covering an existing member of staff’s maternity leave * Flexibility may be required according to the service’s rota Exact contracted hours and shift patterns will be confirmed during the recruitment process. Responsibilities * Supporting individuals with their daily routines * Providing respectful personal care when required * Promoting independence, dignity and choice * Supporting emotional, physical and social wellbeing * Assisting individuals to participate in activities and engage with their community * Following individual care and support plans * Maintaining accurate daily records * Supporting safe mobility and following moving and handling procedures * Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred care * Following safeguarding, health and safety, medication and infection-control procedures Requirements * Previous care or support work experience is preferred * A compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach * Good communication and teamwork skills * Reliability and flexibility * Willingness to complete all required training and pre-employment checks * An existing right to work in the UK Sponsorship is not available for these positions.
