Senior Quantity Surveyor Up to £70,000 + £8,000 Car Allowance Hybrid Working | Truro / Cornwall Take commercial responsibility for major infrastructure schemes across Cornwall, backed by a long-term AMP8 programme and a working pattern that doesn't require five days a week on the road. A well-established UK Civil Engineering contractor is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial delivery of key projects within the South West Water AMP8 framework. Plymouth provides a practical base for the position, with the majority of projects located throughout Cornwall. Hybrid working is available, with travel to Exeter typically required just once per month. The Role You'll have the autonomy to manage the commercial performance of multiple infrastructure projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and senior management. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial delivery of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Administering NEC contracts and identifying commercial risks and opportunities. Producing CVRs, forecasts, cash flow reports and wider financial reporting. Managing variations, subcontract procurement and final accounts. Leading commercial discussions and negotiations with clients and subcontractors. Providing guidance and development support to junior members of the commercial team. What You'll Need You'll already be operating as an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a track record across civil engineering, utilities or major infrastructure projects. Strong NEC contract knowledge is essential, alongside proven commercial and financial management capability. You'll also need the confidence to take ownership of project performance, manage commercial challenges and make well-informed decisions. What's In It For You?
