About the role We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Bus Shunter and Fueller to join a busy bus depot in St Helens. The role will involve safely shunting buses and other large vehicles around the depot, carrying out fuelling duties and assisting with vehicle cleaning when required. The Bus Shunter and Fueller will play an important role in ensuring vehicles are correctly positioned, fuelled and prepared for service. This position would suit someone with previous experience moving larger vehicles around a depot or similar environment who is confident handling large vehicles safely and responsibly. A PSV licence is advantageous but is not essential. A full driving licence is required for the role. Key responsibilities • Safely shunting buses and larger vehicles around the depot • Positioning vehicles correctly within the depot • Carrying out vehicle fuelling duties • Assisting with cleaning buses and vehicles when required • Ensuring vehicles are ready for service as required • Following all depot health and safety procedures • Carrying out vehicle movements safely and efficiently • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment Skills and experience required Essential: • Full driving licence • Experience driving and manoeuvring vehicles safely • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic • Comfortable working around large vehicles • Able to follow health and safety procedures Desirable: • Previous experience shunting larger vehicles around a depot • Previous experience working within a bus, transport or logistics environment • PSV licence • Previous experience with vehicle fuelling or cleaning What is on offer • £14 per hour • 40 hours per week • Monday to Friday working • Immediate starts available • Temporary ongoing contract • Potential for permanent employment depending on experience • Opportunity to gain further experience within a busy transport environment How to apply If you have a full driving licence and are confident manoeuvring larger vehicles, we would like to hear from you.
