Job Description
School Business Manager Location: Central / West London Pay: £25.00 – £27.00 per hour, depending on experience Start Date: ASAP Contract: Temporary / Long-Term Opportunities   Horizon Teachers are looking to connect with experienced School Business Managers for current and upcoming opportunities across Central and West London.   We are seeking confident and highly organised professionals with strong school-based experience across finance, HR, operations and compliance. You will play an important role in the effective day-to-day running of the school, working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.   Key Responsibilities Manage school budgets, expenditure, forecasting and financial reporting Oversee HR administration, recruitment, payroll and staff records Manage procurement, contracts, suppliers and purchasing processes Support premises, Health & Safety, risk management and statutory compliance Maintain effective school business and operational processes Work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team on financial and operational matters Support and line manage administrative and support staff where required  Requirements Previous School Business Manager, School Finance Manager or School Operations Manager experience Strong knowledge of school finance, HR, compliance and operational processes Experience managing budgets and producing financial reports Strong IT skills and experience using school management and/or finance systems Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder-management skills Ability to confidently manage competing priorities within a busy school environment Operam Education Group includes Provide Education | Teachers UK | Provision Recruitment | The Education Specialists | First for Education | Horizon Teachers | Key Stage Teacher Supply   We're proud to be an inclusive employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and committed to creating accessible opportunities across education.   As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement.
