Overview
We're supporting a nuclear-sector client with the hire of Senior/Lead Planners to work across major programmes, supporting projects aligned to DSRL and NWS. The role will include being on the client sites in Cumbria & Thurso The role focuses on integrated planning, Earned Value Management (EVM) and change control to drive schedule performance, governance and delivery assurance.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and manage integrated project schedules (baseline and live programmes)
Produce planning updates, progress reporting, and schedule performance commentary
Apply EVM to measure performance, identify variances and support forecasting
Support critical path analysis, milestone tracking and lookaheads
Run and maintain change control (impacts, approvals, traceability, reporting)
Identify schedule risks/opportunities and propose mitigations
Collaborate with project controls, engineering, commercial and delivery teams
Contribute to planning assurance, governance and continuous improvement activityRequired Experience / Skills
Strong project planning background within the nuclear sector (or similarly regulated/safety-critical environment)
Practical experience with EVM and project controls reporting
Proven capability with change control / governance processes
Experience building and maintaining complex schedules and performance analysis
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
High attention to detail; confident working to structured processes and compliance standardsDesirable
Experience supporting large, multi-workstream programmes and/or frameworks
Familiarity with schedule risk, forecasting and planning assurance reviews
