Job Description
Quality Inspector We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified 'In-process' inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply, through policing in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and 'hands on' approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR's & development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and further development/improvement of the system. The key responsibilities include: * Inspecting, confirming and authorising in-coming materials and returns from outsources. * Approving In-Process production and validating 'First-Off' measurements * Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001 * Documenting all inspection results on company's internal systems * Raising and investigating NCR's with implementation of corrective/preventive measures * Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review * Liaison with customers and suppliers including conducting audits where required. * Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production Key skills and experience: Ideally you will have a mechanical engineering background, working within manufacturing environment. You will be able to interpret engineering drawings and support production improvement initiatives. Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection. The candidate will be fully familiar with, and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, have the necessary 'people skills' to develop and improve the quality culture of the business and flexibility to support other departments. Have a 'Continuous improvement' focus The role offers the opportunity to progress to 'full' ISO9100 Quality Management position as well as ancillary roles such as Health & safety
