Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable family-run car dealer group with multiple locations across Southwest England, who are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their dealership in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. Benefits: Salary up to £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications Performance-related bonus scheme Optional overtime paid at time and a half Manufacturer-accredited training, including hybrid and electric vehicle courses Staff purchase discounts On-site parking Health and wellbeing programme Life insurance Company pension scheme 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with service Opportunities for long-term career progression within a reputable dealer groupDuties of a Vehicle Technician: Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and advise on necessary repairs Report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Workshop Controller Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and quality standards Work efficiently within a team to meet targets and customer expectations Conduct road tests and complete relevant documentation Keep work area clean and organised, ensuring workshop safety complianceRequirements of a Vehicle Technician: Minimum IMI/NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent At least 1-2 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician in a workshop environment Hold a valid UK driving licence Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction Good team player with a proactive approach Ability to produce high-quality work in a busy main dealer setting Active MOT Smart Card is highly advantageous but not essential Motivation to work towards individual and team targetsThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a well-respected dealership offering a stable career, ongoing training, and attractive remuneration. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, with occasional Saturday mornings, subject to business demand.
