Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Watford area, starting this September.
This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about Design & Technology and enjoys inspiring students through creative, practical, and engaging learning experiences. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to helping students develop their technical knowledge, creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence while contributing positively to the wider school community.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Design & Technology lessons, covering a range of practical and theoretical areas. You will monitor and assess student progress, maintain a safe and well-organised practical learning environment, and communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers where appropriate.
The role also offers opportunities to become involved in extra-curricular activities and school initiatives, helping to enrich students' educational experience and encourage their interest in creativity, design, engineering, and practical skills.

Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities
Track and report on students' progress
Liaise with parents/carers and provide relevant reports and feedback
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed practical learning environment
Support students in developing their creativity, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs
Cooperate with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes
Requirements:
Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Design & Technology, or a relevant specialist subject
Passion for the development of learning
Excellent classroom management skills
Inclusive ethics
Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
Ability to create engaging and practical learning experiences for students
