SEN Teaching Assistant - College Setting
Location: Romford
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a college supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with SEN students, ideally within a school, college, specialist education or care setting. You will be responsible for providing high-quality 1:1 and classroom support, helping students develop their independence, communication and learning skills while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with SEN students is essential
Experience supporting students with complex needs is desirable
Valid Hoisting Certificate is essential
Must hold a Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patient, caring and supportive approach
Ability to work confidently as part of a wider SEN team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
The Role:
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Supporting students with a range of additional needs
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting personal care and mobility where required
Assisting with learning and classroom activities
Supporting students to develop independence and life skills
Working closely with teaching staff and other professionalsThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to work within a specialist college environment. -
