Project Manager job in North London – leading the delivery of façade, EWI, recladding, refurbishment and remediation projects across London from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on programme and commercially successfully.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing specialist construction contractor delivering façade, external envelope, refurbishment and remediation projects across London.
The role will involve taking full responsibility for projects from pre-start and mobilisation through to completion and handover, overseeing programme, commercial performance, quality, health & safety and client relationships.
The successful candidate will work closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors and support teams, while managing subcontractors and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and other key stakeholders.
The position will initially involve overseeing a project in London & South-East, with responsibility for the successful delivery of the scheme and regular involvement across other London-based projects as required.
Key Responsibilities
Leading façade, EWI, recladding, refurbishment and remediation projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover
Developing and managing project programmes, resources, budgets and delivery targets
Coordinating Contracts Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and support teams
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to required quality standards
Managing project delivery and maintaining oversight of programme and commercial performance
Chairing client and internal progress meetings and providing regular project reporting
Working closely with the QS team to monitor valuations, variations, forecasts and overall commercial performance
Managing subcontractor performance and resolving operational issues promptly
Ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, building regulations and quality requirements
Managing project risks, issues and change control throughout the contract period
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
Overseeing project documentation, completion procedures and handover packs
Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained throughout project delivery
Escalating and actively managing project risks throughout the contract lifecycle
Requirements
Proven Project Management experience within façade, cladding or external envelope construction
Strong knowledge of EWI, recladding, façade remediation and/or external envelope systems
Experience managing projects from mobilisation through to completion
Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Experience developing and managing construction programmes
Experience managing project budgets, programmes and subcontractor packages
Strong commercial awareness, including forecasting, variations and cost control
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Strong leadership skills with experience managing site teams and subcontractors
Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities
Calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
Full UK driving licence
Relevant construction qualifications preferred
