PPA Cover Teacher
Location: Bromley, London
Salary: £160 - £200 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
Contract: Temporary; full-time availability preferred, working pattern to be agreed
Start date: 05/10/2026
Hours: Term time - 8:30 - 3:30 - school day

You will cover classes while teachers have their planning, preparation and assessment time. The role calls for someone who can build rapport quickly, keep lessons moving and maintain consistent expectations across different year groups.
Responsibilities
• Deliver lessons across the agreed PPA timetable
• Use class plans and prepare additional resources where required
• Adjust lesson delivery to suit different ages and abilities
• Maintain routines and follow each class’s established support strategies
• Assess learning during lessons and provide useful feedback to class teachers
• Work with teaching assistants to include pupils with additional needs
Requirements
• UK QTS and experience teaching in primary schools
• Confidence moving between classes and curriculum areas
• Well-organised preparation and clear communication
• Strong classroom management and an adaptable teaching style
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one.
