Groundworks Foreman Location: [Location] Salary: £[Rate/Salary] per [hour/year] Job Type: [Permanent/Contract] Start Date: [ASAP/Date] We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworks Foreman to join our team on a busy construction project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering, with proven experience supervising a team and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate groundwork teams on site. * Manage day-to-day site activities and allocate labour effectively. * Oversee excavation, drainage, foundations, concrete, kerbing, ducting and associated groundworks. * Read and work from drawings, specifications and site plans. * Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors. * Ensure works are completed on programme and to the required quality standards. * Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and other site personnel. * Carry out regular quality and safety checks. * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures. * Maintain a safe, tidy and productive working environment. * Complete daily records and report progress, issues and requirements to site management. Requirements * Previous experience as a Groundworks Foreman / Working Foreman. * Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering operations. * Experience supervising and leading a site team. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings. * Good communication and organisational skills. * Strong understanding of health and safety requirements. * Relevant CPCS/NPORS or other plant tickets would be advantageous. * CSCS qualification required. * SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous. * Full UK driving licence preferred.
